1. Data We Collect
- Account info: name, username, email address, profile photo
- Entry content: the text you write and the photos/videos you attach
- Device info: push notification token, language preference, time zone
- Usage data: session and access records (for security)
No location data is collected.
2. How We Use It
- To show and store your entries
- To verify your account and keep it secure
- To send notifications if you have opted in (support reactions, new followers, moderation)
- To automatically screen images/videos on shared entries only for illegal content
- To show an anonymous aggregate for the day on the community "Pulse" card ("N people cried today" and an hourly distribution). All entries — including private ones — enter this count as a number only; no identity, text or media is used and no individual entry can be derived from it.
Your data is not used for advertising and is never sold to third parties.
3. Privacy of Your Entries
Every entry is private by default and is never shown to another user unless you explicitly share it. When you share an entry anonymously, your name, username, avatar and profile are never linked to it anywhere; when you share it with your name, it appears on your profile and in the feed of people who follow you. You can withdraw a share at any time. Users you block, or who block you, do not see your shared entries. When one of your entries is reported, only that entry's text and media are viewed by our moderation team for review; entries that have not been reported are not read. Report records (reporter, reason, decision) are retained for moderation purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications
- Google Cloud Vision: automated safety screening of images/videos on shared entries only (media on private entries is not sent to this service)
- Cloudflare R2: media file storage
- Paddle.com: Merchant of Record for Premium purchases (payment, invoicing, tax). Your card details never reach us. Paddle's privacy policy: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy
5. Retention and Deletion
When you delete your account, your profile information, all of your entries, uploaded media and device connections are permanently removed. Per GDPR/CCPA/KVKK, this action is performed immediately upon request and cannot be undone.
You can delete your account:
- In the app: Profile > Settings > Delete Account
- On the web: at [/account/delete](/account/delete) using an email verification link (works even without the app installed)
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR and KVKK you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to object to its processing.
