Child Safety Policy

1. Age Requirement

TearLog is for users aged 13 and over. Accounts found to belong to someone under 13 are closed and their data deleted.

2. Zero Tolerance

We have zero tolerance for any child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAE/CSAM). When such content is detected the account is closed immediately and the matter is reported to the competent authorities.

3. Preventive Measures

• All images and videos shared with the community pass automated safety screening (Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch) before they are published; media that fails screening is not shown to others.
• The app has no user-to-user messaging and no comments. Shared entries can only receive three fixed support reactions; there is no free-text back-and-forth. There is therefore no surface for adult-to-child contact (grooming).
• Every shared entry and every profile has Report and Block options. Reports filed for "risk of self-harm" are moved to the front of the moderation queue and reviewed first.
• Reported content is reviewed by the moderation team; on violation the content is hidden and the account is warned or closed.
